That said, my only gripe is I was a little disappointed with the packaging. Coming from the non-Pro Aero, it came with a premium box that added to the overall experience, like opening an Apple product. For a product positioned at the top tier, I expected the same. Instead, the Pro arrived without that premium presentation, which felt like a missed detail in an otherwise excellent product. To add to that, OM has now started including the Performance Leather Case with the Pro just after I completed my purchase. Which made me wish I had waited a bit longer.
Also coming from purchasing the Aero Pro X, I expected a much finer finish just like the original Aero. It is better than the X I purchased, but I can still see some imperfections on the carbon weave pattern on both paddle faces. Overall, I would have thought it would match the Aero I had, which was flawless in build quality. But this is just an aesthetic gripe.
Still the OM Aero PRO is a game-changing paddle that delivers on performance and design, there's nothing like it aside maybe from the Wilson Vespers.
I have always played with 16mm and was nervous about the 14mm transition. That was seamless and the racket felt like an extension of my arm in no time. I have only played twice but feels like I have been swinging it for years.
The racket moves fast! I was returning, (defending), body shots before I knew it happened. I love the face texture and the spin was incredible. I can see the ball deflect from the spin! There was a “control” over the power which surprised me + the dinking was a breeze. Aero1 Pro has a feel to it. Kind of a “you know it when you know it”. Yup, this one is right for me.
I’ve played with several high-end pickleball paddles, you name it; Jolla Persus 14 mm, CRBN TF, Franklin Dynysty 16mm, Lotto Ultimo pro 14 , ..etc paddles over the last year, but the OM Aero Pro has completely elevated my game. From the first swing, I could feel the difference. This paddle delivers an exceptional blend of power, control, and finesse—something you don’t often find in a single piece of equipment.
Performance:
The Aero Pro’s aerodynamic design makes it incredibly maneuverable, especially at the net.
Control & Spin: which I love the most
Where this paddle really shines is in its control. Dinks, drops, and resets are effortless. The surface texture also gives you just the right amount of grip on the ball to add spin and keep your opponents guessing.
Build Quality:
The carbon fiber face and polymer core feel premium and durable. It’s clear that OM didn’t cut corners—this paddle feels solid, without being overly stiff or harsh on the arm. I’ve played long sessions without any discomfort or vibration issues.
Verdict:
If you’re looking to take your game to the next level, the OM Aero Pro is absolutely worth the investment. It’s a paddle that performs just as well for advanced players as it does for those climbing the ranks. Once you try it, it’s hard to go back to anything else.
Uniqueness:
The ergonomic design, color and geometry of this paddle definitely stands out
The only time I’m not playing it when my love Sarah is playing it. 😎
Great job! Thank you!!
The feeling of this 'racket'. is hard to describe but I think they nailed it with 'string bed' feel they talk about. Where paddles feel more cushioned and squishy, the PRO feels more like a tennis racket. I'm able to snap through drives for more power and accuracy. It's the main reason I liked Selkirk but honestly, I think OM takes this feeling, and does it better.
Also, love the design. Looks sexy.
I’ve recommended it to a few of my friends and let them use it while I wait for my turn to play and got positive feedback.
She packs quite a punch when playing hard ball. The sweet spot is smaller compared to the Aero¹, the reinforced frame edge is very unforgiving in its hardness, that needs some adjusting to for me.
Control is very good if a little poopy at times , but that just might be my inability,
Spin and drive are perfect for my game .
People that I play with are very impressed after playing a game or two
especially tennis players, they find the OM the most close to there
tennis racket and are very appreciative about the handle and swing rate .
Keep OM playing.
Note: I am a DUPR 3.50-4.0 and play recreationally and in the occasional tournament.
