Not a paddle, it’s a racquet
Paddles are cut out shapes clued or thermoformed together. Racquets are single-moulded frames. The Aero¹ has a single FluidCarbon™ fiber frame. Much different process. Read FAQ page on our site.
Like a Tennis Racquet
The AERO¹ frame is crafted exactly as tennis frames are created. This gives it a very unique play style in the world of Pickleball, superior build quality and durability and many advantages over the less technologically developed paddle design.
Like playing tennis on a mini court
The feel of hitting a pickleball with the AERO¹ is more akin to the feel from tennis racquet strings rather than the paddle people are used to. The sensation feels like playing tennis on a small tennis court.
Tennis angles, shape the ball better, swing faster
Because the AERO¹ behaves more like a tennis racquet, players are able to create angles not possible with paddles, have more control on where and how they put the ball on the court and benefit from a much lighter and faster swing due to the aerofoil design.
Top spin is better
With longer dwell time on the surface of the AERO¹, players are able to create more spin and direction as the frame design 'grabs' the ball more.
Faster hand speed
The AERO¹ has a much lower swing weight than player expect. The faster movement through the air allows for quicker hands at the next and more power on the drives.
Greater feedback from the racquet due to the frame
The AERO¹ 's frame acts very differently to a paddle construction and so player 'feel' a different way of playing and feedback from the racquet. As many tennis players using have remarked - 'You can feel and trust the feeling'.
More stability from the additional frame perimeter weight
The AERO¹ is deceptively stable in the hand compared to many paddles. The reason being is the additional perimeter weight created from the carbon frame. Many paddles have edge foam injected to try and replicate the weight of a frame - the AERO¹ doesn't replicate anything. It's simply there.
Grip is single moulded carbon, unlike many paddles that are flat cutouts with wood or foam to create shape
The AERO¹ GameGrip is truly like holding a tennis racquet handle - simply because you basically are. The shape is ergonomically moulded as one piece. So it fits and feels right, and is completely durable.
The movement through the air is different
Racquet designs don't play the same way as paddles. The feel is different and the movement through the air is too. Just like swinging a cheeseboard through the air is different from a tennis racquet - so it is with the AERO¹ and other paddles.
It's a different style of play
The AERO¹ allows a faster, harder hitting and more angled form of play. Tennis play rather than traditional pickleball play. It takes a moment to get used to, but once you do, there's no going back.
